Services

As an architectural designer with over a decade of professional experience, I specialize in design and possess a proven track record of designing construction documents for diverse projects, including custom homes, additions, restoration + renovation and mixed-use/commercial buildings.

My expertise lies in anticipating client needs from pre-design through construction documentation and navigating design constraints such as site limitations, codes, and building requirements. I am adept at meeting deadlines while coordinating with clients and consultants to deliver comprehensive permit documents. Additionally, I have successfully managed multiple projects and workflows by creating cross-functional teams and overseeing design decisions, plans, and progress to ensure successful project outcomes.

Process - Each project has an outline design process, which consists of four phases: Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Construction Administration (CA).

We initiate the SD phase with a comprehensive client interview and a thorough site and programming analysis. This allows us to understand your needs and the site's potential. Using this information, we generate initial space planning concepts and explore siting and massing options for the structure(s). Upon your approval, we document our progress in a Schematic Design drawing set, which the builder uses for an initial pricing estimate.

Following this, we move into the DD phase. Here, we integrate consultant feedback into a coordinated drawing set, which is again priced by the contractor and often submitted for permitting.

During the CD phase, we refine the project's details to ensure consistency and quality for all interior and exterior elements. Once construction begins, we commence CA, conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and provide design support to both the builder and you.

Documentation - I am pleased to offer my expertise in assembling comprehensive Construction Document Plan Sets. With over a decade of experience, I utilize 3D modeling to meticulously craft floor plans, elevations, sections, wall sections, details, and schedules. These detailed sets effectively communicate every aspect of the project to both the general contractor and subcontractors, ensuring clarity and precision.

My design process is thorough and client-focused. I am committed to creating buildings that harmonize with the client's lifestyle, site, and context, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This approach results in architecture that is as unique as each client and their property.
